I'm so proud of myself~!

Today, just five minutes ago I went out of the house all by myself and went for a walk! I didn't get lost at all! I was too afraid to cross streets though. In Taipei, the driving is like a New York City on coke. It's safe to cross streets, but I am not ready yet. I wanted to see if I could find my way out of the house and back. I'm so happy and proud. Baby steps, you know!

  1. Congratulations!
I'm very happy you're not just sitting around in the house.
The best way to keep from being sad is to keep busy!

    I love you

  2. yay!! i would have been to scared to go out by myself D: but its much better than staying at your house all day probably, and you might start understanding chinese a lot better if you walk around a lot more. i mean like not in the middle of the night or anything but i think if you walk around you'll be forcing yourself to immerse yourself in the language a lot more than just being at home. and you should talk about how you're dealing with the language barrier situation. is it hard to read the signs and everything???? it seems like the amount of characters you will have to learn is on coke too ;D
